Bowling Green/Warren County MPO  - Prioritization FY 2009

The Bowling Green/Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization reviewed and prioritized the HIGH ranked projects on the Unscheduled Projects List at the joint meeting of the Policy Committee and Technical Advisory Committee meeting on May 18, 2009. There were a total of 15 Unscheduled Projects for consideration, totaling $98,532,000.  MPO Staff met with local officials prior to the May 18TH meeting in order to gather local priorities.  The information obtained at the local meeting was presented to the MPO for discussion and prioritization.  The results and the overall rankings of the projects were then submitted to the KYTC Division of Planning and in turn will be submitted to the General Assembly for the consideration in the State Highway Plan.

In addition to the prioritization process, the MPO has contracted with The Corradino Group to design a fifth fixed route for the GO bg Transit Service. The Corradino Group is also researching the Universal Pass method to provide to WKU students as a means to help entice students to use the public transportation services.
